EVE Monitor is a browser-first companion for EVE Online pilots. This page describes what data the application processes and how it is stored. The tool is unofficial and is not affiliated with or endorsed by CCP Games.
Data we process
- EVE identity. When you sign in with EVE Online (EVE SSO) we receive your character ID, the character name and the list of ESI scopes you grant. Tokens are stored server-side and are never displayed back to you.
- Optional ESI scopes. The default sign-in only requests
publicData— no wallet, no location, no fleet, no corporation data. Extended scopes (wallet, location, market orders, fleet, corp structures) are requested explicitly from the feature that needs them and only after you click an authorisation button. - Local chatlog data. The radar reads EVE chatlogs straight from your machine, only after you grant your browser explicit folder access. Files stay on your computer; only parsed events (system, ship, pilot) stream into the radar. No client modification, no overlay, no packet sniffing.
- App usage and diagnostics. Where applicable we record minimal operational telemetry (errors, request counters, sync state) to keep the service healthy. This data is per-account and is not sold or shared with third parties.
What we do not do
- We never display ESI tokens, refresh tokens or session secrets in the UI.
- We do not modify the EVE client. The companion is browser-first and read-only with respect to the game.
- We do not require an overlay. The optional desktop companion (when used) only reads local chatlogs/screenshots that you have already authorised.
- We do not expose private alliance intel as public data. Any future community statistics will be aggregated, anonymised and privacy-safe; raw per-pilot data stays in your account.
Your control
You can revoke ESI access at any time from your EVE authorised apps page. Removing the link there immediately invalidates the tokens stored by EVE Monitor for that character.
